Walmart US Category Management Director (Retail)

Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas; relocation to Northwest Arkansas is required

Salary: $172,000–$220,000 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as the lead category advisor for Walmart and own the relationship with the Walmart Senior Merchant.
• Develop omnichannel category strategies that deliver sales and market share growth.
• Provide reporting, marketplace analysis, competitive updates, and data-driven recommendations.
• Lead the Walmart modular process and develop physical and digital shelf concepts.
• Deliver shelving and assortment recommendations with internal category and shopper insights experts.
• Lead, manage, and inspire a team while developing future modular recommendations and in-market tests.

Requirements

• Strong customer collaboration, selling, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to distill complex data into clear stories and actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking skills, including identifying root causes and linking strategies to objectives.
• Ability to lead, train, and develop others and run productive meeting agendas.
• Experience with Walmart category management tools such as ProSpace, Scintilla, Power BI, Excel, and Nielsen.
