CL Sr. Account Manager (Commercial Lines)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; regular in-person attendance at face-to-face client meetings required

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year, plus monthly incentive bonus, commissions, and equity program.

What you will do

• Manage 20–40 mid-to-large Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact.
• Provide proactive client support, coverage reviews, insurance expertise, and timely responses to underwriters.
• Market and place new and renewal Commercial Lines business by preparing applications, selecting carriers, and comparing quotes and coverage.
• Recommend insurance programs, negotiate with carriers, and manage renewal expirations to prevent coverage lapses.
• Process policies, endorsements, and audits while maintaining accurate records in agency management systems.
• Support account growth, represent client interests in strategy meetings, and delegate administrative tasks to Account Representatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
• Must hold or be willing to earn a Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• College degree preferred.

Nice to have

• ARM, CIC, CPCU, or another relevant industry designation.
• Knowledge of Sagitta or ImageRight.
• Awareness of insurance industry information, technology, and trends.
