Measurement Technician (Gas Pipelines)

Location: Yuma, Arizona, United States; onsite. Must live within a reasonable response time to the reporting location. Travel, callouts, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

What you will do

• Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove measurement, control, regulation, SCADA, and gas quality equipment.
• Monitor gas volumes, detect measurement errors, apply corrections, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Interpret electrical and electronic schematics for electronic flow measurement and measurement electronics.
• Audit custody-transfer and control data and maintain accurate facility records.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and perform general facility upkeep.
• Identify unsafe conditions, use stop-work authority when needed, and participate in safety and operational-excellence programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field and/or at least 3 years of equivalent work experience is accepted.
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic measurement and control equipment.
• Experience with electronic test instruments and safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems.
• Knowledge of natural gas, liquid chromatography, and AGA, API, and GPA measurement standards.
• Basic computer and math skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver's license meeting company insurability requirements; ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and random DOT drug testing.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of gas and/or liquid pipeline measurement experience.
