Field Instrument and Electrical Technician (Oilfield Services)

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on electronic instrumentation and automation equipment used in oilfield service operations.
• Use multimeters, diagnostic software, technical manuals, electrical schematics, and internal software to troubleshoot equipment and complete work orders.
• Perform wire soldering, wire termination, equipment voltage checks, instrument repairs, and control equipment calibration.
• Operate company vehicles and light-duty trucks across varied road conditions, terrains, and weather.
• Support property housekeeping and routine maintenance while following HSE policies, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Participate in alternate shifts and on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Midland, Texas, and perform field duties in all weather conditions.
• High school education or equivalent is required; a technical associate degree is preferred and may substitute for experience.
• At least six months of experience maintaining and repairing electronic instrumentation and automation equipment on well-servicing equipment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electronic instrumentation and automation equipment used in hydraulic fracturing operations.
• Current valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate company vehicles.
• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, alternate schedules, and on-call nights, weekends, and holidays; physical ability to climb, crawl, bend, work around mechanical parts and chemicals, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
