Maintenance Technician

Location: Newton, Iowa, United States; onsite plant-based role. Relocation may be considered, but expatriate and international assignments will not be considered.

What you will do

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair controls, valves, instruments, and motor control centers.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement improvements to increase plant reliability.
• Update CMMS records and enter work order information.
• Operate and maintain utility systems, including boilers, air compressors, and water treatment systems.
• Operate plant equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and man lifts while maintaining a safe and clean facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma and a valid driver's license.
• Two-year associate degree in industrial technology, instrumentation technology, industrial technology, or an equivalent field.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, communicate technical information, and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Process plant or production-environment experience, especially in biofuels, petrochemical, or agricultural sectors.
• Instrumentation and controls experience.
• Centrifugal pump operation and maintenance experience.
• Millwright or mechanic training, welding skills or certification, and cause-analysis experience.
