Gas Plant Operator (Natural Gas)

What you will do

• Operate gas treating, absorption, distillation, fractionation, product treating, gas dehydration, cryogenic, and other process equipment.
• Operate gas compressors, auxiliary engines, motors, and pumps.
• Perform site checks, monitor gauges and equipment indicators, and prepare engine room logs.
• Service, lubricate, and perform minor maintenance on assigned equipment, including alarms and Process Safety Management testing.
• Support maintenance and other groups while maintaining routine safety and security in the work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment using electrical and mechanical principles.
• Knowledge of safety practices, personal protective equipment, lockout/tagout procedures, and process safety requirements.
