Senior Principal Digital Engineer (DE & Kubernetes Tool Admin)

Projected compensation range: $101,782.95–$244,582.90 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and implement Digital Engineering strategies for Department of Defense and commercial initiatives.
• Deploy and configure MBSE and Digital Engineering COTS tools, including Cameo, Magic, SAM, Syndeia, eCube, and SBE Vision.
• Configure assets in Azure and Amazon Web Services environments.
• Architect, build, secure, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
• Advise internal and customer teams on Digital Engineering best practices, emerging technologies, and system configuration.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements while coordinating cross-functional teams and providing technical direction to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; experience requirements vary by degree level: BS 8–10 years, MS 6–8 years, or PhD 3–5 years.
• Eligibility for a Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
• Expertise with major versions of Linux and Windows Server.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience, including containerization best practices and production-grade cluster design.
• Experience configuring COTS software to match customer requirements and processes.
• Knowledge of IT concepts and cybersecurity best practices, plus fluency in MBSE, Digital Engineering, Digital Threads, and Digital Transformation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Java and enterprise databases such as Cassandra and DB2.
• Knowledge of Agile terminology, theories, and best practices.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense and Intelligence Community regulations and ATO compliance.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting workflows and evaluating alternative solutions.
