Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in Canada

Base salary: $140,000–$192,500 CAD per year

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve shared infrastructure and platform services.
• Own and optimize AWS services used across engineering.
• Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code workflows using Terraform and Terrateam.
• Support secure and reliable deployments across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Improve observability through metrics, logs, and tracing, and troubleshoot distributed-system issues.
• Establish infrastructure standards and documentation while partnering with engineering teams on resilient system design.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Strong production experience operating AWS infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code workflows at scale.
• Significant Kubernetes experience, including internal deployment pipelines and node management.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with reliability engineering, incident response, and production operations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terrateam, Ansible, Vault, Consul, ArgoCD, Packer, Redis, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of AWS networking, including VPCs, routing, load balancers, and security groups.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure automation.
