Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, build, automate, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure for mission-critical applications.
• Design and manage CI/CD platforms and deployment pipelines supporting continuous software delivery.
• Translate application and business requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Implement infrastructure as code, automated deployments, monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage the complete infrastructure lifecycle and improve production reliability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with software developers, solution architects, security engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD solutions in production.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring, and security services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, networking, Bash, Python, PowerShell, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with Git workflows, monitoring, observability, security, cloud governance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and mission-critical production systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures, serverless computing, Kubernetes operators, service meshes, and cloud-native platforms.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, security automation, vulnerability management, policy as code, container security, secrets management, and SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or HIPAA frameworks.
• Exposure to SRE, distributed systems, chaos engineering, blue-green deployments, canary releases, resilience, and performance engineering.
• Experience with automated testing, release automation, cloud cost optimization, platform engineering, self-service infrastructure, and continuous improvement.
