Senior Software Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid, with in-office work at least 3 days per week in Seattle, Mountain View, San Francisco, or Pittsburgh, United States.

Salary: $162,000–$260,000 per year for Seattle, Mountain View, and San Francisco roles; $146,000–$234,000 per year for Pittsburgh.

What you will do

• Drive upgrades and improvements to hirify.global’s Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Build developer-facing tooling and infrastructure using deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals.
• Build and operate cloud services on Kubernetes.
• Work with teams across hirify.global to gather requirements, gain support, and drive projects forward.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping commercial products and services.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably with AWS and EKS.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals and experience building and operating Kubernetes services.
• Production programming experience in Go, Python, or C++.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with managed ingress solutions including Ambassador, Envoy, or Istio.
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as ArgoCD and Helm.
• Experience with observability platforms, Grafana, or distributed tracing.
• Professional experience using AI coding assistance and agents or working in the autonomous vehicle industry.
