Outside Property Claim Representative (Property Claims)

Location: 100% remote, but must reside in or be willing to relocate at personal expense to the Northern Virginia and/or Washington, DC assigned territory. Ideal locations include Chantilly, Manassas, Arlington, Washington, DC, and surrounding areas. The role includes field inspections, catastrophe deployments away for a minimum of 16 days, and physically demanding property access.

Annual base salary: $67,000–$110,600, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives and a sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Handle first-party property claims of moderate severity and complexity throughout the claim life cycle.
• Inspect losses, document damage with photographs, and prepare written or computer-assisted estimates.
• Investigate coverage, damages, business interruption calculations, liability, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
• Evaluate settlement amounts, establish reserves, validate contractor estimates, and negotiate resolutions within authority limits.
• Maintain claim files, diaries, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and timely inventory resolution.
• Participate in catastrophe response deployments, multi-line claim assistance, legal proceedings, and resolution desk activities as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of outside property claim handling experience or successful completion of the hirify.global Outside Claim Representative training program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• General knowledge of Xactimate estimating systems.
• Advanced interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to inspect dwellings and structures, carry and set up a 38–49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces.
