Claim Specialist- Auto Injury-Hybrid

Location: Richardson, Texas; hybrid work with time spent working from home and in the office. Training may require a higher percentage of in-office work.

Salary: $70,101.85–$83,535.93 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Review and analyze auto injury claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Investigate claims by gathering information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing supporting documentation.
• Evaluate medical records, police reports, and other documents to assess injuries and liability.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants within policy limits.
• Document claim activities, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports.
• Collaborate with legal, medical, risk assessment, independent experts, vendors, and defense counsel on complex claims.

Requirements

• Prior claim handling experience, including bodily injury, property damage liability, and uninsured or underinsured motorist claims.
• Experience verifying coverage, legal liability, and damage using insurance policies, laws, statutes, procedures, and regulations.
• Litigation experience, including handling lawsuits, demands, and attorney-involved claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, organization, and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical platforms.
• Successful completion of required training, proficiency and licensing examinations, and applicable background checks is required.
