Pediatric Oncology Nurse II (Pediatric Oncology)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; onsite night-shift position.

Salary: $31.50–$55.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients with solid tumors and neuro-oncology disorders on the 17-bed Kay 5 unit.
• Support groundbreaking cell therapies and antibody infusions.
• Assess patients, interpret age-specific clinical data, and address pain and developmental needs.
• Educate patients and families while collaborating with clinical and research teams.
• Work night shifts in a setting with small nurse-to-patient ratios.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN and at least 18 months of clinical nursing experience, including St. Jude or other RN experience.
• Experience in pediatric or oncology nursing, with intermediate pediatric assessment, critical-thinking, and pain-assessment skills.
• Working knowledge of research protocols and strong clinical, interpersonal, and patient-education skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS or ACLS may be required as applicable.
• Current nursing licensure is required in Tennessee or the candidate's primary-residence state, depending on Nurse Licensure Compact status.

• Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON) certification.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
