Location: Silver Spring, Maryland, United States

Salary: $31.98–$49.20 per hour

Maryland Oncology Hematology provides cancer care through more than 15 locations across Maryland and Washington, DC.

What you will do

  • Assess patients, review medical and psychosocial information, document interventions, and report relevant findings to providers.
  • Prepare and administer medications, blood products, and oncology therapies under physician supervision.
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central lines, and support dose modifications and symptom management.
  • Educate patients and families, provide psychosocial support, and coordinate consultations, diagnostic procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, triage patient calls, manage medication refill requests, and maintain patient flow.
  • Support clinical research, provide nursing coverage at satellite offices, and act as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
  • Active RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 0–3 years of nursing experience.
  • Ability to maintain continuing education requirements and current oncology nursing knowledge.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
