Medical Oncology Team Nurse

Location: Springfield, Oregon, United States

Salary: $42.00–$69.46 per hour, with the hiring rate based on experience, education, responsibilities, location, performance, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Coordinate and deliver professional oncology nursing care across the patient care continuum.
• Assess patient health, review medical data, document findings, and communicate with providers.
• Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers with clinical information, psychosocial resources, and care navigation.
• Manage patient flow, triage, medication refills, scheduling, tests, procedures, and referrals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support clinical research, oncology education, satellite office coverage, and practice-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN is strongly preferred.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
• Active Oregon State RN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Continuing education requirements must be maintained.
• Ability to work in an oncology clinic environment with potential exposure to patients, medications, chemotherapy agents, toxic substances, communicable diseases, and ionizing radiation.
