Machine Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift

Location: Centralia, Illinois, United States; onsite, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Expected starting pay: $27.50 per hour. Compensation range: $23.90–$44.40 per hour, based on experience and other factors.

What you will do

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Diagnose faults, determine repair requirements, replace or repair components, reassemble equipment, and test adjustments.
• Perform machine and bench operations to construct replacement parts or recondition worn components.
• Complete welding work on guards, stands, bins, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain an orderly work area, and work overtime when requested.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use digital or analog volt/amp/ohm meters.
• Experience using dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
• Computer skills for data entry and retrieval, including Microsoft Outlook.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school certificate in maintenance or machine repair.
