Pediatric Oncology Nurse II: ICU

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; in-person ICU nursing role.

Salary: $31.50–$55.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide 1:1 nursing care in an 8-bed pediatric intensive care unit.
• Care for patients requiring ventilation, renal replacement therapy, and hemodynamic support.
• Assess and interpret age-specific patient data and respond to changing clinical conditions.
• Apply critical thinking, pain assessment, patient education, and interpersonal nursing skills.
• Use research protocols and a research-informed approach to pediatric hematology and oncology care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN with at least 18 months of clinical nursing experience and prior RN experience at St. Jude or another institution.
• Experience in pediatric or oncology nursing, with knowledge of pediatric assessment, growth and development, and age-specific care.
• Current BLS certification.
• Required nursing licensure depends on the primary residence: Tennessee licensure is required for Tennessee residents or residents of non-Compact states; Compact-state residents must hold a license in their primary state of residence.

Nice to have

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), as applicable.
• Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON) certification.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
