PRN Registered Nurse (Oncology)

Location: Cedar Park and Marble Falls, Texas, United States. Part-time PRN schedule of 2–3 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.; no weekends, on-call shifts, or major holidays.

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care for patients in medical oncology and infusion departments.
• Assess patient health status, medical history, and patient and family needs.
• Administer medications, blood products, and oncology therapies under physician supervision.
• Assess laboratory results and treatment protocols to support dose modifications and symptom management.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central-line catheter devices.
• Triage patient calls, process medication refill requests, document care, and connect patients with community resources.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Level 1: 0–3 years of nursing experience; at least one year in oncology or infusion is preferred.
• Level 2: 3–5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Ability to perform patient handling, extensive standing and walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Intravenous therapy skills.
• Oncology Certified Nurse certification or oncology experience.
