Sr. Technical Designer - UGG Apparel

Location: Goleta, California, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance typically three times per week, Tuesday–Thursday.

Salary: $87,900–$118,600 per year.

What you will do

• Build, update, and review technical specification packages for men's, women's, and women's plus apparel prototypes.
• Manage fit, pattern, specification, and construction communication with vendors throughout the product life cycle.
• Participate in fit sessions and guide models and cross-functional teams in defining accurate product feedback.
• Identify and resolve fit, pattern, construction, and balance issues, providing clear recommendations.
• Benchmark fit, construction, and grading standards through competitive analysis.
• Research customer feedback and returns, implementing product updates where needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in apparel manufacturing, product development, technical design, patternmaking, or equivalent work experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Expertise in fit, multiple sizing categories, construction methods, and patternmaking corrections.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, communication, and ability to manage overlapping projects.
• Proficiency with Excel and/or PLM technical packages, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Motivated, collaborative, and self-directed approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Gerber, Lectra, or Optitex patternmaking software.
• Experience with 3D apparel design software.
