Technical Designer - Women's Open Edit & BP Sweaters and Knits

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, Washington

Salary: $80,000–$132,000 annual, with potential performance-based incentives or bonuses

What you will do

• Develop clear tech packs with measurement worksheets and construction images aligned with design intent and brand standards.
• Evaluate samples, communicate fit comments to suppliers, and follow products through fit approvals and production.
• Schedule and lead fit sessions, conduct wear tests, and support fit model go-sees and live model measurements.
• Partner with Pattern Engineering and Design on block pattern development, grade rules, tolerances, and product benchmarks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to meet development calendars, manage samples, and resolve escalated issues.
• Analyze market research and customer reviews, contribute to recommendations, and mentor new hires through technical design workstations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Technical Design or a related field.
• Experience fully developing fashioned sweaters.
• Working knowledge of grade rules and tolerances, product lifecycle management software, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organization, time management, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including communication with suppliers whose first language may not be English.

Nice to have

• Exposure to 3D apparel development tools such as Browzwear, CLO, or Optitex.
• Exposure to 2D pattern software such as Gerber AccuMark or Optitex.
