What you will do

  • Support EMS modeling and applications using the GE eTerraSource SCADA/EMS system.
  • Build and maintain network models for internal transmission areas.
  • Perform SCADA database cleanup, including removal of ADMS points from transmission databases.
  • Build transmission energy management system displays using FG Display Builder and eTerraSource modeling tools.
  • Validate and rectify SCADA points and process updates to breakers, reclosers, transmission lines, and related equipment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience with GE eTerra, Alstom Grid, GE Habitat, and database modeling environments.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with GE FG Display Builder, GE eTerraSource, and TMS modeling and display building.
  • Experience with SCADA communication protocols such as ICCP, DNP3.0, and Modbus.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to pass a NERC CIP compliance background check.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GE Advanced Applications, including RTNET and STNET.
  • Computer programming or scripting familiarity.
  • Power Systems Engineering experience.
