Senior ADMS Modeling Engineer

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States; travel up to 30% within North America.

Salary: USD $101,192–$160,000 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Build ADMS models and displays for operational technology and real-time systems consulting projects.
• Perform Habitat and database modeling, including SCADA modeling.
• Develop geographic connectivity models incorporating engineering data for ADMS power-flow modeling.
• Develop and troubleshoot distribution models to improve distribution power flow and bus-load allocation.
• Analyze failures, errors, and connectivity issues during model builds and coordinate fixes with source-system teams.
• Provide occasional support for ADMS applications such as FLISR and OMS.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience performing ADMS modeling and display-building tasks.
• Experience with the Alstom Grid/GE Habitat and database modeling environment, especially SCADA modeling.
• Experience with Alstom Grid/GE Display Builder and Alstom Grid/GE e-terraSource.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to travel up to 30% within North America.

Nice to have

• Experience with Alstom Grid/GE Advanced Distribution Management System applications, including FLISR and OMS.
• Computer programming or scripting experience.
• Basic electrical-system and power-systems engineering knowledge.
