Senior SCADA Engineer, EPC (SCADA/PPC)

Location: Fully remote or hybrid, with regular in-office presence in Bend, Oregon; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $125,114–$166,402 per year

What you will do

• Lead SCADA monitoring and control system development and commissioning for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects.
• Own end-to-end PPC implementation, including programming, hardware and software integration, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing.
• Define SCADA design standards, maintain technical documentation, and drive standardization and process improvements.
• Provide expert technical support and act as the escalation point for complex SCADA and PPC issues.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, field technicians, cross-functional teams, and operations during commissioning and project handoff.
• Assess and mitigate technical and schedule risks while supporting NERC compliance, operational readiness, and system reliability.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of engineering experience or equivalent, including direct SCADA engineering experience; renewable energy experience with utility-scale PV, BESS, or wind is desired.
• Advanced programming knowledge in C, C++, Java, Python, and Structured Text under IEC 61131-3.
• Advanced knowledge of Inductive Automation Ignition or an equivalent SCADA platform, Windows servers, relational databases, and SCADA applications.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC platforms, PID loop tuning, SCADA networks, fiber optics, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus, DNP3, and OPC UA/DA.
• Ability to read and develop power system, networking, control, electrical, mechanical, and civil diagrams and schematics.
• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, or energy engineering is preferred, along with strong communication and project coordination skills.
