What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction of AI agents such as AIDA and NOVA.
• Design and ship production multi-step agents with tool use, orchestration, memory, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Build multilingual conversational agents for customer interactions across phone and WhatsApp channels.
• Architect intelligence products that turn payment data into actionable merchant insights.
• Define evaluation, observability, safety, and guardrails for reliable agentic systems in a compliance-sensitive environment.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Staff Engineers on complex AI initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of shipping production LLM or AI-agent systems.
• Deep expertise in multi-step agents, tool use, orchestration, memory, and RAG.
• Strong Python for AI/ML and solid backend engineering with Go and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with model serving, LLM inference, AWS or similar cloud infrastructure, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with AI evaluation and observability tools such as LangFuse, LangSmith, Braintrust, or MLflow.
• Advanced written and spoken English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with fine-tuning, RLHF, model customization, vector databases, embeddings, MCP servers, or modern agent frameworks.
• Conversational AI, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and multilingual systems experience.
• Payments or fintech industry experience.
• Multi-tenant AI platforms, GPU/resource management, data pipelines, orchestration, or analytical warehouses.
• Spanish proficiency.
