Senior Engineer - T&S Engineering Programs (Utility Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States

Annual salary: $103,200–$141,900, plus a 15% bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Lead execution of reliability engineering programs and convert approved engineering strategies into scopes, schedules, and technical work plans.
• Coordinate Operations, Field, Construction & Maintenance, and T&S Engineering stakeholders to resolve technical constraints, sequencing, constructability, and operational issues.
• Develop engineering summaries, scopes of work, work strategies, field guidance, implementation-readiness materials, and post-execution documentation.
• Monitor initiative progress, identify risks and delivery gaps, and recommend corrective actions or escalations.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, field execution, and resolution of field questions.
• Develop studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, cost estimates, budgets, and performance assessments for utility facilities and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a Professional Engineer license.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience, including experience in specialized engineering areas.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles, practices, applicable standards, codes, and methods.
• Ability to analyze complex electrical and mechanical systems and apply advanced engineering principles to resolve issues.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, written, oral communication, presentation, report generation, and technical writing skills.
• Advanced experience in utility infrastructure, including system analysis, planning, design coordination, standards development, or project execution.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or graduate-level work in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• Engineer-in-Training certification, Professional Engineer license, MBA, or Project Management Certification.
• Participation in industry committees or working groups, or publication of technical documents.
