Engineer, Electrical I&C (Nuclear)

Location: Hybrid role based in Kennett Square, Middletown, Pottstown, or Delta, Pennsylvania; Lusby, Maryland; or Oswego or Ontario, New York

Salary: $92,700–$114,000 per year for the Mid-Level Engineer position; $122,400–$154,000 per year for the Senior Engineer position, plus bonus and 401(k).

What you will do

• Perform engineering analyses and calculations supporting nuclear plant modifications and design activities.
• Develop technical products that justify design changes and demonstrate regulatory and design-basis compliance.
• Provide analytical input for project scoping, estimating, budgeting, and execution.
• Evaluate technical assumptions and engineering solutions with lead responsible engineers, project managers, site engineering, and design teams.
• Document design changes in drawings, calculations, databases, and procedures.
• Lead or support digital I&C modifications, including PLC logic updates, control software upgrades, and complete digital system upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, including electrical, nuclear, mechanical, industrial, chemical, civil/structural, or related engineering disciplines.
• Mid-Level Engineer: at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
• Senior Engineer: at least 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
• Ability to maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements and pass required medical examinations or testing.
• Experience or capability in systems design, technical requirements specifications, human factors engineering, data communications, plant integration, and digital configuration management.
• Ability to develop or review digital-specific analytical products, including 50.59, CCF susceptibility, SHA, CDR, and HAZCADS/DRAM analyses.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer registration.
• Experience with design validation testing such as SWIL and FAT.
• Capability to serve as lead responsible engineer for assigned modifications.
