Senior Systems Test Engineer

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States; onsite only with no remote or telework allowed

What you will do

• Analyze and evaluate operational system capabilities and mission technical performance.
• Lead integration, testing, and evaluation activities, including related project management.
• Conduct baseline system-performance assessments for mission initializations.
• Evaluate algorithms against their intended mission applications.
• Investigate anomalous mission behaviors and recommend potential causes and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Typically 8–10 years of experience with a BS, 6–8 years with an MS, or 3–5 years with a PhD.
• Degree in imaging science, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM field, or completion of an accredited U.S. military or government imagery-analysis training program.
• Experience with PAN, IR, MSI, RADAR, LIDAR, and FMV imagery and related Full Spectrum GEOINT products.
• Knowledge of imagery exploitation, artifact and anomaly identification, mission capability analysis, and system performance assessment.
• Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, independent testing, data verification, solution development, and team leadership.

Nice to have

• DoD or Intelligence Community operational-environment experience and Product Initialization team experience.
• Understanding of machine-learning and neural-network algorithms.
• Coding or scripting experience with C, Python, Matlab, or IDL.
• Working knowledge of basic ELTs and tools such as Microsoft Office, Confluence, and JIRA.
