Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD per year, plus potential stock, cash incentives, and employee stock purchase opportunities.

What you will do

  • Design, document, review, and execute tests for spacecraft avionics.
  • Plan and write test scripts to verify hardware/software interfaces and validate requirements.
  • Author and review test plans, hardware drawings, test summaries, and reports.
  • Design, specify, and procure test fixtures and other required hardware.
  • Collaborate with flight software and Guidance, Navigation & Control engineers to troubleshoot hardware and software anomalies.
  • Communicate test plans and results with leadership, colleagues, and customers, including during customer and vendor facility visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing or testing electrical systems, such as avionics, automotive systems, or spacecraft.
  • Programming experience with Python or a similar scripting language.
  • Knowledge of RLC circuit design and test equipment, including digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements and ITAR-related restrictions.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in aerospace, computer science, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience testing spacecraft avionics against customer and internally derived requirements.
  • Understanding of hardware design from concept through production.
  • Experience with radio frequency communication systems and protocols such as Ethernet, UART, LVDS, or CAN.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
