Workplace Design Associate

Location: New York City, United States; onsite four days per week

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Support interior layouts, furniture plans, finishes, workplace design standards, and employee experience frameworks across hirify.global locations.
• Research workplace trends, materials, FFE innovations, ergonomics, sustainability solutions, and industry best practices.
• Visit showrooms and conduct site walks to evaluate products, collect pricing, document existing conditions, and validate installations.
• Coordinate workplace expansions, renovations, relocations, and refreshes, including schedules, budgets, project documentation, punch lists, and closeout.
• Coordinate with architects, general contractors, furniture dealers, specialty vendors, Workplace Experience, Facilities, IT, HR, and Security teams.
• Support FFE procurement, vendor proposals, product selection, order placement, lead-time tracking, onboarding, and vendor performance reviews.

Requirements

• Must be located in the New York City area and able to work onsite four days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in workplace design, corporate interiors, or project coordination.
• Experience with office renovations, build-outs, furniture installations, construction processes, architectural drawings, and facilities operations.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; U.S. citizens or permanent residents are generally hired for U.S. employment opportunities.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar design and planning tools.
• Knowledge of modern workplace trends and experience managing consultant, vendor, and client relationships.
