Workplace Interior Designer

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Four days per week are worked in the office, with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

Pay range: $76,900–$119,100 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead conceptual design, program development, and space planning for workplace projects.
• Develop and coordinate interior design documentation, technical plans, drawings, reports, and models.
• Oversee construction documents, design details, material selections, FF&E, and product specifications for constructability and sustainability.
• Attend site visits and construction administration meetings while coordinating with integrated design teams.
• Mentor junior staff, guide project teams, and champion design excellence, innovation, and QA/QC.
• Lead client presentations, support business development, and help deliver projects within schedule, fee, and budget requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
• At least 8 years of professional experience.
• Professional licensure required.
• Proficiency in Revit, familiarity with Bluebeam, and strong proficiency in standard A/E/I/P software.
• Experience applying design techniques, technical tools, sustainable principles, and QA/QC practices.
• Strong written, verbal, graphic communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills; a current PDF portfolio or work samples is required.

Nice to have

• LEED AP or another green building certification.
