Director of Capture (Defense and Intelligence)

Location: Chantilly, Virginia; must be local to the work location, with flexible occasional telework

Salary: $160,639.75–$279,321.35 per year

What you will do

• Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of capture efforts for opportunities valued at $200M or more.
• Qualify opportunities and develop win themes, competitive analyses, teaming strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
• Apply Shipley capture and proposal methodologies to coordinate compelling and compliant proposals.
• Collaborate with proposal managers, technical experts, pricing teams, executives, and business development professionals.
• Build relationships with government customers, acquisition teams, prime contractors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Mentor capture teams and support competitive pricing and long-term contract pursuits.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required and must be maintainable.
• At least 12 years of capture, proposal management, business development, or related federal contracting experience.
• At least 16 years of professional experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Proven success leading and winning large-scale government captures, preferably exceeding $200M.
• Expertise with Shipley or similar capture and proposal methodologies, federal procurement, FAR/DFARS, and defense and intelligence contracting.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and Military Services missions.
• Established relationships with federal stakeholders, acquisition offices, contracting officers, and decision-makers.
• MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or a related field.
