Senior Cost Analyst/Estimator (Defense Cost Analysis)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Plan and develop cost estimates, conduct risk and uncertainty analyses, and prepare supporting documentation.
• Support the development of program descriptions, acquisition strategies, and related documentation with program managers and technical staff.
• Analyze contractor cost, schedule, technical, and proposal data to create independent projections and evaluations.
• Support government source selections and provide data-driven recommendations to government customers and leaders.
• Present cost results during DoD reviews and participate in hardware, software, program, and management reviews.
• Provide accurate, concise, and defensible cost positions to program and executive leadership.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.
• At least 10 years of cost estimating and analysis experience supporting DoD, NRO, intelligence agency, NASA, or NOAA customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, science, economics, business, or a related field.
• Experience with MS Excel and extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition and PPBE budget processes.
• Experience developing cost-estimating relationships and methodologies, building cost models, applying inflation, analyzing phasing approaches, normalizing data, and documenting results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certification through ICEAA, PMI, DAWIA, or a similar organization.
• Experience with ACEIT, USCM, SEER Software, SSCM, NICM, or COCOMO II.
• Experience leading independent cost estimates and reviews.
