Salary: $135,600–$203,300 annually for the Virginia area.

What you will do
- Apply cost estimation principles and methods to complex government acquisitions.
- Develop cost-estimating relationships using advanced statistical analysis techniques.
- Build cost models and methods for space systems and associated ground and launch systems.
- Collect and normalize data and develop life-cycle cost estimates using parametric and analogy-based methods.
- Lead life-cycle cost estimates for major system acquisitions and identify cost and technical risks.
- Translate risk areas into program cost impacts and present results to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, operations research, cost analysis, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
- Experience with cost estimation, data collection and normalization, model development, and life-cycle cost analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Monte Carlo simulation techniques.
- Ability to work independently, lead detail-oriented tasks, and communicate results to senior leadership.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical, analytical, finance, or business discipline.
- Cost-estimating experience with space hardware, space systems, launch systems, ground systems, or software.
- Experience with @Risk, Crystal Ball, SAS, SPSS, or similar analytical tools.
- Technical understanding of satellite systems and ICEAA CCEA certification.
