Senior Cost Analyst (w/Risk Focus)

What you will do

• Conduct recurring qualitative and quantitative risk assessments across program processes.
• Monitor cost drivers, escalation trends, market conditions, and other factors affecting the program risk profile.
• Model and quantify risk exposure through scenario analysis, data analytics, and risk management tools.
• Develop and monitor mitigation strategies with project controls, estimating, and scheduling teams.
• Integrate risk results into cost estimates, forecasts, and contingency positions.
• Evaluate contractor and consultant risk submittals, maintain the risk register, and prepare reports and recommendations for program leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in risk, cost, or project controls roles on large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
• Experience in passenger transit or transportation sectors, including rail, bus, highways, roads, or bridges.
• Demonstrated experience with risk modeling, scenario analysis, data analytics, risk mitigation, risk registers, cost forecasts, and contingency forecasts.
• Proficiency with risk and cost management tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Deltek Acumen, Safran Risk, and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or business.
• Active CCP, PSP, PMP, or CCM certification.
• 10+ years of experience on transportation megaprograms valued at $1 billion or more.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other KPI dashboard software.
