TL;DR
Senior Business Operations & Financial Management Analyst (DoD Aerospace): Supporting U.S. Space Force and national security space programs through budget execution, acquisition reporting, financial analysis, and executive coordination with an accent on financial visibility, compliance, and acquisition operations. Focus on managing funding documentation and expenditures, developing execution reports and executive briefings, and identifying program financial risks in high-visibility environments.

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States

Salary: $200,000+ USD annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

What you will do

  • Support budget planning, tracking, execution, and financial reporting for defense and space programs.
  • Track expenditures, funding allocations, obligations, and financial execution activities.
  • Prepare and maintain MIPRs, funding documents, acquisition records, budget trackers, spend plans, and execution reports.
  • Conduct business and financial analysis, identify risks and shortfalls, and support leadership decision-making.
  • Develop acquisition reporting products, financial summaries, business metrics, and recurring organizational updates.
  • Support PMRs, executive meetings, staffing packages, taskers, suspense actions, and program coordination.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and Poly is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, management, economics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in DoD financial management, acquisition programs, business operations, or budget execution.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs, financial reporting, budgets, expenditures, funding documentation, and acquisition financial processes.
  • Familiarity with CCaR, acquisition reporting tools, financial tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, NRO, SDA, or national security space organizations.
  • Experience with Program Executive Offices or headquarters-level acquisition environments.
  • Familiarity with PPBE, financial execution reporting, acquisition lifecycle management, PMRs, and executive-level financial briefings.
