Open Rank-Professor - Educational Leadership

Location: Commerce, Texas, United States. The nine-month academic appointment begins in Spring 2027 and includes teaching online and face-to-face at university sites, potentially during the day, evening, or on Saturdays.

What you will do

• Teach master's and doctoral courses in educational leadership.
• Design, conduct, and publish research, including work in peer-reviewed journals.
• Advise students and chair dissertations through completion.
• Prepare syllabi, update course materials, and develop curriculum.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement departmental programs.
• Provide service to the department, college, university, public schools, and broader community.

Requirements

• Doctorate in educational leadership or educational administration from a regionally accredited U.S. university.
• Three years of K-12 teaching experience and three years of public-school administration experience.
• Experience teaching online in higher education.
• Principal certification.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Record of or potential for scholarship and commitment to high-quality instruction and student success.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching in a graduate program.
• Experience chairing dissertations through completion.
• Superintendent certification and experience.
• Record of publication.
