TL;DR
Technical Project Manager - Sr. (Aerospace): Managing supplier and site-operations projects supporting the commissioning and manufacturing transformation of the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle with an accent on cost, schedule, technical design, supplier performance, and risk management. Focus on coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and program leadership while transitioning products from concept to development and improving supplier manufacturing processes.

What you will do

  • Coordinate with contract manufacturers, engineering design teams, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and program leadership to deliver critical flight and R&D hardware.
  • Manage project budgets, engineering, procurement, and supplier schedules, along with program management status reporting.
  • Translate engineering and program requirements for suppliers and communicate supplier capabilities to engineering teams and management.
  • Plan and negotiate with suppliers and engineering teams to meet technical, schedule, and cost expectations.
  • Manage supplier performance, conduct status meetings, resolve issues, and communicate risks and mitigation plans.
  • Support supplier process development and transition products from concept into development for the Rocket Park manufacturing campus.

Requirements

  • Experience managing projects in a technical environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in technical work environments.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and balancing internal and external schedules.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong bias for action and commitment to quality and safe human spaceflight.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing aerospace electronic controls and fluid systems.
  • Experience working with fabrication, electrical, and fluid-component vendors.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
