Service Manager - The Summit & Jacob Height (Facilities Maintenance)

Location: The Summit & Jacob Heights, Mankato, Minnesota, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Lead service, groundskeeping, housekeeping, and facilities maintenance operations for the assigned property.
• Manage work orders, preventive maintenance plans, inspections, property turns, inventory, key control, and maintenance readiness.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, cross-train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance team members.
• Coordinate vendors and service contracts, including landscaping and snow removal, while managing resources and maintenance performance against budget.
• Maintain facilities, equipment, public areas, apartments, retail spaces, signage, curb appeal, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure safe equipment operation, regulatory compliance, weather response planning, and adherence to OSHA standards.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of proven mid- to high-level technical experience in residential facilities maintenance.
• Strong organizational, communication, planning, and leadership skills.
• Experience supporting or leading maintenance teams and managing operational workflows.
• Ability to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, vendors, inspections, and property maintenance standards.
• Ability to work onsite in Mankato, Minnesota.

Nice to have

• HVAC certification.
• Prior management experience.
