Maintenance Lead (HVAC)

Location: 257 Thayer, Providence, Rhode Island, United States; work is performed onsite at the assigned property. Periodic travel and on-call availability are required.

Salary: $30–$33.75 USD per hour, plus discretionary annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise building services and preventive maintenance in compliance with Scion procedures, government regulations, and OSHA codes.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Monitor diagnostics, inspections, testing, permits, certifications, warranties, and maintenance records for major systems.
• Prioritize service requests, emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, unit turns, inspections, and quality-control reviews.
• Lead Facilities Technicians, hire and develop team members, and coordinate work with General Managers, regional facilities leaders, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage parts and tool inventories, contracted work, vendor bids, deliveries, safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and capital facilities projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED, trade school diploma, or military training.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience managing building systems in multi-unit residential properties, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
• EPA 608 Universal and HVAC/EPA 608 Universal certification.
• Certified Pool Operator certification or willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, maintenance practices, technical documents, blueprints, and safety guidelines.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge, a valid driver’s license, the ability to manage multiple projects, stand for 8 hours or longer, and lift up to 100 lbs.
