Software Engineer II (Medtech)

Location: Remote, USA

Salary: $128,000–$184,000 annually, depending on geographic zone, plus annual cash bonus, equity grants, and ESPP.

What you will do

• Design and implement proprietary and third-party tools for the member enrollment funnel, including eligibility verification, plan and benefit matching, signup, and activation.
• Improve conversion and time-to-enrollment by refining existing solutions and deploying new ones with Product and Marketing partners.
• Build high-quality web application code, participate in code reviews, and write unit and integration tests.
• Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to plan, implement, test, and review changes.
• Contribute to architecture, system design, coding standards, and technology adoption.
• Participate in on-call rotation, triage reliability issues, and maintain enrollment pipeline stability.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
• Experience with Ruby, preferably Ruby on Rails, or Python.
• Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or MySQL, and designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure with AWS preferred, and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to LLMs and GenAI best practices, with hands-on experience directing AI coding agents beyond simple autocomplete.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
