Military Fellowship Program: Field Service Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Clovis, New Mexico, United States; frequent travel outside the continental United States is required, typically for extended periods.

What you will do

• Provide field service support for ISR and aviation systems.
• Interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and related publications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and apply technical diagnostic techniques.
• Work with electrical wiring and related technical systems.
• Travel frequently, including extended assignments outside the continental United States.

Requirements

• Currently serving on active duty and eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program.
• Associate’s degree and typically two or more years of relevant experience; a higher-level degree or related experience may substitute.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Experience using troubleshooting techniques and understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
• Active Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• FCC or FCC GROL experience.
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, or A+ certifications or prior experience.
• Basic knowledge of spectrometers, oscilloscopes, or pilot static equipment gauges.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
