Avionics Technician IV - Deploy Only (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; frequent travel to customer locations and extended CONUS/OCONUS deployments required.

What you will do

• Supervise the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of avionics systems.
• Oversee complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, wiring, and equipment inspections.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Train, mentor, and guide avionics staff.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments and customer locations to support efficient operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Expertise in avionics systems, technical schematics, diagrams, manuals, installation tooling, wiring repair, soldering, and crimping.
• Ability to deploy for extended periods to CONUS and OCONUS operating locations and work an approximate 60/60 OCONUS rotation.
• Current valid passport, ability to obtain international travel visas, and willingness to undertake extensive temporary duty travel.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required.
• Ability to pass a pre-deployment medical assessment and work extended hours, holidays, and shifts as required.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in avionics, electronics, or a related field.
• Leadership experience in a maintenance environment.
• FCC General Radio Operator License and familiarity with FCC requirements.
• Experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, or pitot-static equipment.
• Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military background.
