Aviation Electrician II (UH-60)

What you will do

• Integrate wires and harnesses into UH-60 aircraft and terminate connectors, including coaxial cables.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and subsystems, remove and reinstall parts, and perform repairs.
• Conduct continuity and power checks, Maintenance Operational Checks, and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, instructions, and Modification Work Orders.
• Use multimeters, test sets, crimp tools, wire strippers, heat guns, and other maintenance equipment; perform soldering as required.
• Complete logbook and workbook entries, FOD walks, housekeeping, and safety procedures in accordance with contractual and Department of Defense guidance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of aviation experience, including 2 years working with military standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of aviation maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures; experience with UH-60V or UH-60M aircraft may be required.
• Ability to read aircraft instruments and maintenance documentation, use specialized test equipment, and perform basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in cramped, awkward, and physically demanding positions, including climbing aircraft structures and work platforms.
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance and pass drug and background screening.
• Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, and independent work skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced wire repair experience.
• FAA A&P or FCC license.
