Operations Training Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite at the Burbank manufacturing facility

Salary: $140,700–$182,700 per year. Some roles may be eligible for performance-based bonuses.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets, including aircraft, satellite, missile and unmanned aerial system applications.

What you will do

• Lead and direct trainers in identifying employee skill and knowledge gaps and determining training objectives.
• Design, develop and update performance-focused training content, manuals, learning tools, practice activities and scenario-based learning for operators.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Human Resources, subject matter experts and process owners to identify needs, define outcomes and manage process changes.
• Maintain compliant manufacturing training programs, curricula, training assignments and records across production lines and shifts.
• Lead administration of the Burbank site Learning Management System, including course structures, user information and training records.
• Develop training effectiveness KPIs, perform quality checks and verify that learning standards and audit requirements are met.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in organizational development or training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public or classroom presentation experience.
• Computer proficiency with standard business software such as Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and principles.
• Strong project management, organizational, relationship-building and independent working skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Human Resources or Training is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with machining, fabrication, mechanical assembly and testing.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a Learning Management System.
• Proficiency in Storyline or another LMS add-on.
• Experience designing course curricula and leading large-group training sessions.
