Technical Trainer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Miami, Florida, United States, with consistent travel of up to 75%

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, depending on location and experience; paid weekly.

What you will do

• Create learning curricula focused on technical skills development and knowledge retention.
• Coach and mentor technicians, identify knowledge gaps, and develop remediation plans with management.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training for technical and management staff.
• Partner with leadership, Operations, EHS, engineering, and Field Engineering to develop training content and procedures.
• Develop and deliver product-specific training for electric vehicles with complex automotive and electromechanical systems.
• Maintain expert knowledge of AV/EV maintenance methods, tools, parts, materials, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working on cars, including mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, HVAC, AV, and EV diagnostics and repairs.
• Strong automotive repair knowledge and technical training experience, including the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, automotive shop equipment, vehicle lifts, and related repair equipment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to perform physical work, lift and move up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Nice to have

• University degree or certificate in Automotive Technology.
• ASE certifications and dealership training experience.
• Experience with sensors, calibration, or autonomous automotive systems.
• Experience with Linux, Java, Python, C++, Jira, Confluence, G-Suite, and Slack.
• Valid US passport and experience with environmental and safety requirements.
