Facilities Technician

Location: Onsite five days per week at the Salt Lake City, Utah office; candidates must reside within commutable distance. Local or out-of-state travel may be required, and work outside normal hours may occasionally be necessary.

Expected hiring range: $23.04–$31.17 per hour. Full salary range: $21.60–$35.50 per hour. Bonus target: 5%.

What you will do

• Perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and other routine maintenance for equipment and facility systems.
• Repair and troubleshoot equipment and systems to resolve issues, minimize downtime, and optimize performance.
• Install and upgrade equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain work orders, maintenance schedules, equipment histories, and other service records.
• Monitor and maintain building management systems while coordinating activities with technicians, supervisors, and stakeholders.
• Follow PPE, lockout/tagout, and other safety procedures while staying current with industry best practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with CMMS software and hardware, building management systems, facilities management software, MS Office, and Google Suite.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and climb ladders and stairs while working at heights.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve productivity and professional decision-making.
• Experience with Famis 360, FM:Systems, or Planon.
