Facilities Maintenance Technician Days

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; onsite manufacturing and facility environment. Monday–Friday, 5:45 AM–2:15 PM. Minimal travel may be required.

Pay: $31.30–$35.15 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including plumbing, roofing, doors, building systems, tools, and equipment.
• Support mechanical, electrical, utility, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, boiler, steam, chiller, compressed-air, and natural-gas systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, equipment rebuilds, breakdown repairs, and special projects.
• Troubleshoot failures, conduct root-cause and breakdown-failure analyses, and implement corrective actions with maintenance and reliability teams.
• Document planned and unplanned maintenance activities and work orders in CMMS.
• Follow plant safety, environmental, OSHA, EPA, GMP, lockout/tagout, arc-flash, hot-work, and confined-space procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, facilities, or related environment.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, facility infrastructure, and utility systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and P&IDs.
• CMMS experience, basic computer and documentation skills, precision measuring equipment and maintenance tool proficiency.
• Valid driver's license; ability to pass a site-specific maintenance assessment and obtain and maintain forklift and aerial-lift certifications.

Nice to have

• Technical school, vocational training, or college coursework in maintenance or industrial technology.
• Food manufacturing or food processing experience.
• Experience with welding, pneumatic systems, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, boilers, steam, compressed air, or utility operations.
• Maintenance certifications or licenses and experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
