Quality Inspector - Entry Level

Location: Montgomery, Texas, United States; onsite work in shop and office environments

Crane Cryogenics designs and manufactures engineered vacuum-jacketed pipe, valves, and fittings for the production, transportation, transfer, and storage of cryogenic fluids.

What you will do

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections against drawings, specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using calibrated measuring tools and gauges, including checks for squareness, alignment, and geometric tolerances.
• Review and archive Material Test Reports, maintain product traceability, and complete inspection records and quality documentation.
• Perform and document applicable Non-Destructive Examination activities and coordinate third-party NDE services when required.
• Support shipping release, documentation verification, work order closeout, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain inspection equipment and a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1–2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Working knowledge of surface and subsurface NDE methodologies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and inspection criteria.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and gauges, including calipers and micrometers, plus basic computer skills.
• Must be a legal resident of the United States with reliable transportation and must be able to work onsite in shop and office environments.

Nice to have

• Cryogenic or pressure piping system experience.
