Airport Services Maintenance Repair Tech 1 (MRT1) – Miami International Airport MIA

Location: Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami, Florida, United States; onsite airport work required, including first- or second-shift schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on PLC-controlled baggage conveyors and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to maintenance calls, clear baggage jams, and support airport operations.
• Record maintenance information accurately in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Operate golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Follow company safety programs and complete required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3–5 years of experience with jet bridges/passenger boarding bridges and at least 1 year of maintenance operations experience.
• Ability to obtain an airport security badge and work in secure areas.
• Ability to work outdoors on airport ramps, in confined conveyor areas, at heights, and around aircraft and heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift and move up to 49 pounds and perform ladder, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and other physically demanding work.

Nice to have

• Industrial electrical experience with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
• Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems.
• Airport operations experience and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
