TL;DR
Schedule Analyst/IPM Analyst (Space Systems): Analyzing and assessing program schedules for space vehicle development and acquisition programs with an accent on schedule realism, critical paths, and schedule-cost performance correlation. Focus on schedule risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, DCMA 14-Point Assessments, and presenting findings to government and contractor personnel.

Location: On-site in Chantilly, Virginia, United States

Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

Supports Department of Defense and Intelligence Community programs involving the development and acquisition of space vehicles.

What you will do

  • Perform schedule management activities for an NRO Program Office.
  • Analyze schedules to assess whether program deliverables can be completed on time.
  • Conduct schedule diagnostics, health assessments, trend analysis, and schedule realism reviews.
  • Analyze remaining durations, critical-path float growth or erosion, and schedule-cost performance correlation.
  • Gather schedule data and present analysis to government and contractor personnel.
  • Recommend schedule changes and improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, engineering, business, or the sciences; equivalent experience pathways are available for candidates with a master’s degree or high school diploma/GED and substantial space systems experience.
  • At least four years of experience using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency in schedule risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulation, and knowledge of the DCMA 14-Point Assessment.
  • Knowledge of critical path methodology, schedule quality, and execution metrics.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting the National Reconnaissance Office or other federal government agencies.
  • NRO or Department of Defense acquisition experience.
  • Scheduling certification from a recognized professional society or educational organization, such as PMI or DAWIA.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering practices and space systems development.
